Playing with sumdog

I am learrning to add 1 digit number to 3 digit number and it is easy because I know my addtion.I kept 840 in my head and + 2 and my answer was 842.I want to learn my division properly so I can get better at it and i can move up to green in the maths group in schoool.

Rounding to the nearest ten

I have to round 788 to the to the nearest ten or you can make it a tidy number out of it.The answer will be 790.It was easy to do.If it is grater than 5 in the ones place then it means 790 in my work.

Explanation writing.

WALT:Explain what is done before swimming.

Before student/children go swimming in Glen innes school they take their change of clothes and  togs with a towel in their bag.

First the Students go into their changing room near the pool and inside their changing room they put on their togs.When they get into their swimming togs they walk to the shower and wash their self.They have to have a shower before they go into to pools because the chlorine won’t get stuck to them when they come out of the pool.

After their shower they go into lines so they can go into the pool by the ladder because they aren't allowed to jump in the pool because they don’t know how deep the pool is and if it is too deep they can drown.

Some people use goggles when they swim so when they swim they can see where they are going and they won’t crash into any one.Some people like getting lessons so if they are they taken out to sea they don’t drown and they will  be able to get back to shore.After every lessons everybody get’s better at Glen innes school lessons and they are getting better skill by the day.

When people are finish swimming they have to have a shower when they are going out because their might still be some chlorine after their shower they go get their towel and clothes and change into it so they can go back to class.

Conclusion:

Glen innes school is the only school pool in the area.Glen innes school like swimming.They like to play in the pool and it is not too deep for the little kids because if it was deep they could drown but it is just the right size for the little kids.

Street race

I am learning how to add 1 digit numbers to 3 digit  numbers. It is easy for me because I know my addition. I kept 356 in my head and took away 4 from the seven and added the 4 to the 356 so 356 turns  in to 360 and now my answer will be  360 + 3 equals 363.
