The 2 gods

Walt:Write an impactful introduction to our Maori myth

“Look!” “Look!” shouted Haumia, “There's a steep hole in the middle of the path.”
The hole was so big it could fit a whole elephant inside of it. Tumatauenga did not hear and stumbled into the whole and bursted up into flames. He started to tramp on over to Mission Bay.

On the way to Mission Bay Tumatauenga started to pick up soda cans, lolly wrappers and  a lot of tiny rocks. He put everything  inside of his bag so when he arrives at Mission Bay he can throw all of it inside of the water.

When Tumatauenga arrived at Mission Bay he started to throw soda cans, lollies wrappers into the sea, with 1,000 tiny stones. Tangaroa got furious and flew out of the sea. Tangaroa face turned red his hair all started to point up in the sky. He summoned his sea creatures to come up and frighten away Tumatauenga. Tumatauenga got scared and said that he was sorry.

Tumatauenga calmed down and picked up all of the soda cans, lolly wrappers in the sea and told Tangaroa that he will never throw rubbish in the sea again. On the way home Tumatauenga patched up the steep hole in the ground and made sure no one else fell in.

Kia Ora Tane,
I like how you used Maori gods in your story. I think in your story your trying to tell them to not throw rubbish into the sea. I also did a myth too. I had fun writing this Maori myth. What would you like to write about next?
